Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA)

ALPFA Boston is partnering with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) this tax season to offer FREE Tax Preparation assistance to qualifying low- to moderate-income (generally, $49,000 and below) individuals and families. ALPFA Members who are interested in volunteering as a VITA Volunteer Tax Preparer.

Speaker:Anna Giraldo Kerr

The current economic environment is driving many professionals to reassess their career options. One of these options often includes changing careers. And although there is no exact science to switching careers, successful career changes are deliberate and thorough in their quest. Workshop participants will be introduced to several career assessment tools and their role in the job search and career change process. They will also learn to map assessment descriptors to potential new careers.
