Brandeis International Business School /
ALPFA Graduate Merit Scholarship

In an effort to increase diversity at Brandeis University by eliminating financial barriers to graduate education, ALPFA, in partnership with Brandeis University is proud to announce the Brandeis International Business School / ALPFA Graduate Merit Scholarship.

The Brandeis International Business School / ALPFA Graduate Merit Scholarship will award up to two 50%- to -100% tuition scholarships per year, to a Hispanic American who is an ALPFA member in good standing, to study full-time towards the MBA or MAief degree at Brandeis International Business School.

Applicants for this scholarship should submit an application, online or via mail, to Brandeis University for the fall semester by July 15th, 2008. *

*(Application Deadline for ALPFA members has been extended to July 15, 2008. Applications will continue to be accepted for admission to the Fall Semester beyond this date, at the discretion of Brandeis University).

The recipient must plan to pursue:

  • Master’s of Business Administration
  • Master of Arts in International Economics and Finance degree

Recipient(s) will be selected upon their potential to make unique contributions to the school and ALPFA.

Factors to be weighed in the decision process include:

  • The quality of work experience
  • Educational history
  • Extracurricular activities
  • Social service (willingness and commitment to contribute to promote mission)
  • Leadership abilities

The amount of the award (s) ranging from 50% to 100% will also be determined by these criteria.

The Scholarship recipient will be notified of the scholarship amount and terms
by July 30, 2008.

The scholarship is renewable into the second year of program study (if necessary) provided that recipient meet the following academic requirements:

  • Maintain full-time status
  • Maintain at least a 3.0 grade point average
  • Agree to have name and photograph used in ALPFA and Brandeis University publications or at conferences regarding the Brandeis University / ALPFA Graduate Merit Scholarship for purposes of publicity
  • Agree to assume a leadership position in the ALPFA Chapter at Brandeis University for the duration of his/her studies at Brandeis University with the Scholarship

* The ultimate decision to admit graduate students and award the scholarship, including determination of the specific amount, resides with the Brandeis University. If no qualified candidates are presented, the Brandeis University reserves the right not to name a recipient for that academic year.

McCallum Graduate School of Business – Bentley College – Scholarship Opportunity

The McCallum Graduate School of Business at Bentley College is offering ALPFA members with the opportunity to pursue graduate education through their McCallum Leadership Scholar program. Two awards are available each year to active members of ALPFA.

One full-tuition scholarship is reserved for qualified candidates applying to the 2-year Day MBA program.

ALPFA members must submit their application for consideration to McCallum each year by January 15th.Decisions will be rendered by March 1st.

An additional half-tuition scholarship will be made available for qualified students accepted into the Fall semester of any of our evening programs.
